Plan credit grant rules attach an amount and cadence to one Credit System. Cadence can be monthly, yearly, multi-period, or lifetime and is independent from invoice frequency. For each entitlement period, Nozle creates a distinct balance source with a deterministic reference. It never resets one shared mutable balance row.

Lifecycle policy

  • Activation: grant the configured target.
  • Immediate upgrade: grant max(target - cumulative amount already granted for the same period and subscription lineage, 0) per Credit System.
  • Downgrade: do not claw back; the lower target applies next period.
  • Cycle-end transition: create no immediate difference grant.
  • Cancellation: subscription sources expire at their own period boundary; lifetime sources retain their configured lifetime behavior.
Cadence cannot change unsafely across a subscription lineage. Removing and later reintroducing a rule does not bypass historical cadence validation. Paid top-ups remain separate sources and are not reduced by plan changes.
